What is a sales funnel? A sales funnel is the stages a potential new customer needs to go through to become a customer of yours. Surely you, like me, have seen many complex funnel models, but there are also very simple funnels. But when you figure out how the funnel works, you'll see that it's a natural flow. Let me illustrate with a few examples: B2B sales funnel example Imagine that you are looking to buy some new software for your company. The first stage might be you researching solutions, then proactively contacting the supplier company and talking to them about your needs. It's a stage in the funnel.
Then you ask them to create a quote. This is another stage. Then, you choose Cuba Email List the best, most suitable package and ask them to present it to the company's board of directors. It's a different phase. And finally, you choose a supplier and you become their customer. Retail funnel example Now let's go to another example, this time in the retail sector. Let's say you're looking for a new shirt. You go to Google, you search and you don't see anything. But anyway, you still want to try it on at the store, so you plan to go to an Owen store to try on and find some shirts that you want. And this is stage 1 of the sales funnel.
You go into the store and choose 3 shirts you like. That's the next stage. Then you try them out. This is another stage. And finally, you choose 2 of the 3 for yourself, you go to the counter to pay and then leave the store. It's another phase! What are the stages (layers) of the sales funnel? As I mentioned earlier, I have personally seen some incredibly complex sales funnels. There are funnels that exist up to more than 12 steps ~ 12 floors. 12 steps, taking a customer through all 12 steps is extremely difficult, but if completed, it is clearly an interesting job.
